Fitness fanatics in London may soon not have to choose between a lie-in and looking buff: fitness brand 1Rebel has announced plans to launch a mobile gym onto the capital's streets.
Set to launch in early autumn, the moveable studio will be based around 1Rebel's popular Ride fitness class, with a suite of spinning bikes lined up for a high intensity interval training workout.
The bus will travel through the most popular routes in the city and finish at the St Mary Axe 1Rebel Studio, where attendees will be able to pop in for a shower and smoothie before heading off to work.
Founders James Balfour and Giles Dean devised the Ride2Rebel concept in order to remove potential hurdles for those looking to slot exercise into their busy lifestyles. The bus has been in development for six months, and WMOR Architects have been enlisted to aid on its design.
However it is not all smooth sailing for 1Rebel – the brand needs the government's sign off to allow the mobile studio onto the streets. It plans on applying political pressure by getting as many people to sign up for tickets as possible.
