It seems 'India calling' for global business leaders. Close on the heels of Apple CEO Tim Cook's India visit, now comes the news of Microsoft CEO SatyaNadella visiting the country. The India-born CEO will arrive in the country on May 30.
During this visit, he announced a new programme for startups to create a single platform to bring together data to help solve burgeoning urban problems.
In his one day visit to New Delhi, Nadella will meet students, developers, academicians and young entrepreneurs along with attending a session with about 150 top executives of Corporate India. The latter will be an hour long interactive session organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
This will be Nadella's third visit to India in just seven months, with him last visiting India in December 2015, where he met the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and visited the Microsoft development centre and the campus of startup incubator T-hub in Hyderabad. In November 2015, he had delivered an address at Microsoft's 'Future Unleashed' event in Mumbai and had also met industry stalwarts like Mahindra Group chairman Anand Mahindra and Axis bank managing director Shikha Sharma.
