party supremo and chief minister J. Jayalalithaa said late on Thursday
evening during a rally at Perundurai in Erode district.
Some Highlights of the manifesto are:
For women: * To raise maternity assistance for women government staff to Rs.18,000
* To train women to drive auto-rickshaws and provide subsidy for them to buy them
* To increase maternity leave for women government employees to nine months from six months
* To provide 50% subsidy for women to buy two-wheelers
* To expand offering master health check-up and women special check-up to all districts
* To give one sovereign of gold for women ahead of marriages
For students:
* To provide primary school students with breakfast along with the already existing * noon meal
* To give free laptops with internet for Class X and Class XII students
* To give education loans to students who are still unemployed
Freebies for all:
* All ration card holders to get co-optex coupons worth Rs.500 for Pongal festival
* Ration card holders will get mobile phones free of cost
* Free set-top boxes for all those using Arasu Cable TV
* Aavin to provide milk for Rs.25 per litre
Promised changes in policy:
* To enforce prohibition of alcohol in a phased manner
* To offer 100 free units of power every two months
* To not allow foreign direct investment or FDI in retail
* To take steps to raise storage level of Mullaiperiyar dam to 152 ft
* To provide 10 lakh houses through various housing schemes
* To unveil new granite policy
* To take steps to establish separate Eelam for Tamils in Lanka
* To revise state government employee salaries as per 7th Pay Commission
Financial assistance:
* To offer Amma Banking Card for poor
* To set up Rs.100 crore Amma Collateral Guarantee Fund to enable MSME sector to avail loans
* To set up Rs.500 crore Amma Venture Capital Fund to back innovation in MSME sector
More perks for everyone:
* To install Wi-Fi in big bus stands, commercial complexes and other crowded places.
* To offer Rs.1 lakh for temples of local deities.
* To continue the old pension scheme for government employees.
* To raise the housing loan for government employees to Rs.40 lakh.
For farmers:
* To give Rs.40,000 crore crop loan.
* To waive off existing farmer loans to cooperative banks.
* To not allow genetically modified crops in the state.
* To not permit methane extraction, shale gas and gas pipelines through agricultural lands.
* To take steps to procure dry coconut from farmers.
For fishermen:
* To raise fishermen relief to Rs.5,000.
* To take steps to include the fishermen community in the ST list.
